Brokeback Mountain
BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN

For anyone who has doubts about putting Brokeback in a bisexual category at all, keep in mind this is a film about two men who sleep with both men and women.  Heath Ledger told Time, "I don't think Ennis could be labeled as gay. Without Jack Twist, I don't know that he ever would have come out.... I think the whole point was that it was two souls that fell in love with each other."
Whereas Gyllenhaal says he just thinks they were two straight guys who fell in love.
I think overall it's fair to put these guys in an ambiguous category, and, hey, we're an ambiguous category if I've ever seen one!

Here's some questions to possibly keep in mind:

How are the bisexuals portrayed?  Is it a negative portrayal (stereotypes, promiscuous, liars, cheaters) or positive?

Were the bisexual characters portrayed as gay and in denial, or straight and experimenting, etc?  Or just a genuine "fence sitter"?

How do you think mainstream audiences will see the portrayal?

Is it any good at all, just in general?

We've had some scifi, and now for something completely different:
 Kissing Jessica Stein

This flick can be found on surfthechannel.com, riiiiight here.

Doctor Who and Torchwood
Just to get the ball rolling, here's an easy one to see how this works out:

DOCTOR WHO and TORCHWOOD!

Doctor Who is a long running (45 years strong) British science fiction.  Torchwood is the spin off.  The very very very very bisexual spin off.  Although there are occasional bisexual instances in Doctor Who, Torchwood is really where it's at for our community.  If you're interested in watching either shows, check out your local library or video rental store (although if you're willing to dish out the cash you could probably find them anywhere that sells DVDs, especially Doctor Who).  Then again you could just go to surfthechannel.com if you're feeling lazy.  Or even youtube.
Now the important part: what do you guys think?

OK, I think this is how this should work, but feel free to give me ideas if you think it's ghetto.   Someone (probably me, but feel free to do it too) can post an entry listing details about a specific bisexual film (look here for ideas), and then we all set out to find it, and when we're done, we can discuss it in the comments for that post!  Sound good?
